On Jan. 11, I just listened to this sermon, which has such deep resonance for me. I am in my probationary period of becoming a Fellow , and am a parishioner of Trinity Church in New York.

My spiritual guide, Father Daniel Simons, was once a Brother at SSJE, and we talked at length yesterday, when he was reviewing my Rule, about my desire to increase and deepen my prayerfulness.

This beautiful sermon fit right in,and proved further guidance to me.

    With fellowship in Christ,

    John McCann

“We dare to speak of what is holy. . . God help us.”

A wonderful and thought-provoking statement. I intend to carry it with me all day, though of course our lives are filled with distractions—and good intentions! Thank you for beginning our day with such an awe-ful observation and humble plea for help as we dare to speak of what is holy–even though the ground under our feet, we are told, is Holy Ground.

This is wonderful to have today’s sermon in audio form. Can you do this more often? Perhaps you post the transcript also for people with low bandwidth. Thank so much for sharing these meditations with everyone!
