About five years ago, my life was going through a very difficult transition, and I had no where else to turn. I packed a bag and knocked on the guesthouse door and I said, “Would you guys take me in for a few days until I figure things out?” And so they opened the door. And it was a few days, then a few weeks and it turned out to be for a year and four months. I felt like tumbleweed, there on the doorstep, with my bag. But they took me in when I needed a place to stay. This community was an anchor for me in my life in a very practical way.
