Monday in Holy Week: Compassion

During this week, these last days of our Lord’s life, we try to enter imaginatively into the story of Christ’s passion, to try, each one of us, to feel the weight of the cross, to understand a little of the immensity of God’s sacrifice for us, and the immensity of God’s love for us.

Jesus’s suffering is a path to healing for me because I know that I am loved by Jesus. He understands me and will never leave me. When I think that I am having a difficult day, I stop and think my difficulties are nothing compared to Jesus dying on the cross. I find strength and love in Jesus.

This is beautiful and really points to the heart of Jesus’ ministry. Thank you.
