Dear Brother Curtis, I, too, am a swimmer. Several years ago, when I was becoming familiar with the Jesus Prayer, I was also preparing one morning for an open water swim in a cold lake. Without planning it, the Jesus Prayer became, “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a swimmer.” As you brought joy to us today, may it also br deeply present to you.
