Not all of us will love in the same ways, with the same methods, in the same contexts; but all of us are called to love. If we rely only on ourselves, it is a doomed battle. We must fight, but we cannot fight alone. And so we look to the One who is Love made flesh, whose love is so full, so complete, so uncompromising, that it transfigures death into life, and we ask him to teach us how to love.
-Br. Lucas Hall, SSJE
When you’re working or walking or weeping, God is catching up with you in the wind cross your face, in the singing of a bird, in the free fall of laughter, in the soothing touch of a friend. You are the apple of God’s eye.
