We live in a culture where work, especially manual work, has lost its dignity because it has become divorced from who we are, as women and men created in the image and likeness of God – who is the very epitome of the craftsperson. God is a god who works, and who creates, and when we work and create we not only imitate God, we participate in the divine life of God.
