Maundy Thursday
During this Holy Week when our churches are closed and many Christians cannot worship in community, we Brothers are pleased to be able to share our corporate worship with the world. Many thanks to the Diocese of Massachusetts for recording the Maundy Thursday service from the Monastery Chapel. In addition to the traditional liturgy of the footwashing, the video features Br. James Koester preaching. View the full liturgy >
Dear Br James
The Lord is risen – Happy Easter!
I’m writing this from Baltimore Carmel, Maryland where I’ve spent Lent and Easter! – and am still here, Alleliua! For who knows how long ….it’s being a real home from home.
I’ve been off email until now, but as my visit is prolonged I’ve just reconnected with ICT and wanted to know how you are doing in Cambridge, having heard about the spike of the virus in Boston. It was great to find your Maundy Thursday Mass and especially your sermon which I have just listened to – thank you, so helpful and steadying, and so SSJE, if I may say so.
May you all be well and in peace. (I think the Sisters at Fairacres are doing ok.)
with love and prayers
