Dear Friends, Br. Lucas will be giving an address to the National Cathedral in Washington via Zoom as a part of their Advent series, we invite you to join tonight.

From the National Cathedral:

“Making Room—Allow Christ to be Reborn in you this Christmas”

It’s that most wonderful time of the year – except when it’s not. Whether from the pandemic, the election or racial unrest, we’re all feeling a little depleted this holiday season. If you’re looking to recharge your spiritual batteries, join us on Wednesday evenings during Advent for ways we can all use to make room in our hearts for Christ at Christmas. We’ll end each meditation with a brief service of Compline accompanied by music.

Speakers include the Rev. Dr. Renita Weems, an Old Testament biblical scholar, renowned preacher and author, and co-pastor of Ray of Hope Church in Nashville; Ms. Debie Thomas of the Palo Alto, CA, the Vicar’s favorite spiritual writer who blogs at the webzine Journey with Jesus; Brother Lucas Hall of the Society of Saint John the Evangelist in Boston; Sister BJ Brown, the Prior of the Whitby Priory of the Anamchara Fellowship in Wilmington, DE, and Chaplain, the Rev. Dr. Beth Faulk Glover, an Episcopal Priest who was on the front lines during the Covid crisis at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital system in New York City.
