Centering Prayer Teaching & Practice
Br. Nicholas Bartoli invites us to “do less” and let go, as we sit in silence, open to the loving presence of God. This teaching begins with a simple introduction and some instructions on Centering Prayer, then Br. Nicholas invites us to share with him in a twenty-minute practice.

I try to do a daily sacred pause of 5 minutes so this was quite a challenge but I found the use of the word very helpful and also just the presence of another a comfort and encouragement. Thank you for offering this! I look forward to hopefully joining in person sometime.
A nice, gentle description of the practice of centering prayer. Thank you, Brother Nicholas.
Thanks for this, Br. Nicholas. I have been hoping for the opportunity to sit together again and look forward to doing so in person too. Helpful to hear you and Keith (in the other video ) too. Blessings and peace to all the Brothers. SSJE’s online teachings and presence have been such a gift during these disquieting times.
Thank you for this video! I have studied with you in Cambridge and look forward to another opportunity, but this video was a great refresher for my practice.
Thank you Brother Bartoli.
My centering word was light. I was listening to the birds as they made their morning concert to the world.
What a difference being silent in God’s presence makes anytime of day.
Thank you for allowing us to join you and have you with us!
