Father

Our understanding of the word ‘father’ is necessarily colored by personal experience. It may help us to try and understand what Jesus understood by ‘father’. Jesus’ experience of father was Joseph. This man must have modelled goodness, strength, faithfulness, loving kindness, and the other attributes which Jesus recognized in his heavenly Father.
