SSJE at CAROA Gathering

Brs. Luke and Lain, along with our novice Jamie Nelson, attended the CAROA Gathering in Duxbury, MA in late October. CAROA (an acronym standing for the Conference of Anglican Religious Orders in the Americas) is comprised of 20 Religious Communities who all embrace celibacy, community of goods, and obedience to a Rule and Constitution. Together, this group of orders present to the church a coherent understanding of the religious life: “In a world disrupted by war, terrorism, and oppression, the call and challenge comes to Religious Communities to become instruments of peace, to partake in the ministry of reconciliation by prayer and service, both in the Church and throughout the world.” If you might be interested in exploring a religious vocation, explore more at: Catchthelife.org
