    A prayer for you:
This is another day, O Lord. Brother Crowley knows not what it will bring forth, but make him ready, Lord, for whatever it may be. If he is to stand up, help him to stand bravely. If he is to sit still, help him to sit quietly. If he is to lie low, help him to do it patiently. And if he is to do nothing, let him do it gallantly. Make these words more than words, and give him the Spirit of Jesus. Amen. [Page 461 of the Book of Common Prayer – modified slightly)

I hope I will remember to bring this to the attention of a small group of Christ-centered Quakers who will be meeting at that time. They are members of Worcester Friends Meeting who try to honor the Christian roots of the Society of Friends. The message of SSJE certainly speaks loud and clear to us.

Imbue him and the brothers with grace and wisdom as each day unfolds in their life together, through Jesus Christ our Lord who with you and the Holy Spirit reigns, one God, now and forever.

What an exciting e-mail to receive about Jack’s next step as a brother at SSJE. One time I remember he mentioned his parents. I am thinking about them also, as I am a parent and would be so proud of this accomplishment. I will be praying for Jack this week as he prepares initial profession of vows. I have the time and date on my calendar and hope to be there in support via on-line.
